Birth to Three Matters

Birth to Three Matters is a new framework for children aged from birth to three years of age. This new framework, values and celebrates babies and children, and helps them recognise their own individuality, efforts and achievements. The framework has four aspects of learning which include A strong child, A skilful communicator, A competent learner and A healthy child. Through the framework each will learn by doing rather than being told.

Foundation Stage

All the activities at the nursery promote the "Foundation Stage" which is regualted by Ofsted. We follow a series of Early Learning Goals which are made up of Stepping stones which are set up by the National Curriculum for 3 - 5 year olds. These stepping stones are a series of learning goals set out in the Foundation Stage which will be carried on into Key Stage 1 and will be achieved by the end of the school reception year.

Staff

Our staff are carefully chosen to form a close and strong team. All staff members have experience, and relevent childcare qualifications, and are encouraged to update their training regulary. From time to time we may have a students on training placement, these student are supervised at all times. In line with Ofsted's guidelines, all staff members and students have to have a cleared CRB check before being allowed to care for your child.

Your child will have a key worker who will carry out observations and set goals and achievement targets and will keep you up to date on every stage of your child progress.
