The Hatchlings Room for children aged 3 months - 2 years

The baby room has been divided into areas with a beautiful natural wooden room divider. The larger area is carpeted and gives the babies an a chance to crawl around with ease, and the confidence to take there first steps. We follow the 'Birth to Three framework and all toys in this room are age appropriate and promote the child's development. The second area is for eating and for messy play like painting, cornfour play, sand and water.

It has it's own sleep room which is very peaceful and calming, and a seperate bathroom for nappy changing and potty training.

The toddler room is bright and attractive, and has also been divided into two areas with a colourful wooden room divder. The large carpeted area for stories, puzzles and table top toys as well as space to play on the floor. The covered area for messy play like painting, sand and water. We continue with the Birth to Three framework in this room and all the toys and equipment are at child height and are easliy accessable. There is a adjoining room if your child needs a little rest, and an area for changing nappies and potty training.

The Swans Room for children aged 3 - 5 years

In this room your child is encouraged to be independent and play within large and small groups. Each session is planned with some staff lead actitives and also free play. The children have a wide range of toys and equipment which helps them to achieve their stepping stones. We promote healthy eating and fresh fruit is given instead of biscuits. Fresh healthy meals are prepared daily by the school. Breakfast and tea are cooked by the nursery staff.

Government Nursery Vouchers; your child will be entitled to these vouchers from the term after your child is three. The nursery will give you a form to complete. At the present each voucher entitles your child to free care and education for 2.5 hours a day for 38 weeks of the year.

General Information

Every child in every room has a key worker and their own development profile, where all your child's observations are kept. At the end of each term we have a parent and key worker meeting to discuss your child's next stage of development.

We are always delighted to show visitors around the nursery. Parents may telephone in advance to arrange an appointment or simply 'drop in' when passing.
